Guard tour system
A guard tour system is a way of recording that a guard visited each checkpoint on a patrol route, usually by tapping a tag or scanning a code with a device that logs the time. It proves presence at the checkpoint; it does not record the condition the guard found there.
The systems range from wands and tags to phone apps with NFC or GPS. All of them answer the same question for a client or an insurer: was the round walked, and when. A missed tag is a missed checkpoint.
What they cannot show is what the guard saw. The tag at the rear gate is tapped whether the gate was closed or open, which is why a guard tour log is evidence of attendance rather than of condition.
A virtual patrol answers the other question. Each camera is a checkpoint, each checklist item is judged on the frame, and the report carries the frame for every item, so the record shows the condition at the time and needs nobody to walk the route.
