Camzify for CCTV and alarm installers
Installers are usually the reason a site's cameras exist in the first place. Camzify attaches to the systems you have already installed, including ones several years old, over RTSP, RTMP or HTTPS. Nothing you specified is displaced: the recorder stays, the cameras stay, and virtual patrolling becomes a service line on top of the footprint you already maintain.
- Any RTSP, RTMP or HTTPS stream
- Connector for LAN cameras, no port forwarding
- Hand-over by sub-user and permission group
Three ways a camera reaches Camzify
A camera whose stream is reachable from the internet connects directly by its RTSP URL. A camera on the customer's LAN connects through the Camzify Connector, a small application on a PC inside that network, so there is no port forwarding to negotiate with the customer's IT. Encoders and streaming appliances push RTMP to a private ingest address, and web-delivered streams connect over HTTPS, whether HLS or WebRTC.
The route is chosen per camera when it is added, and a site can mix all three. The RTSP setup guide walks through finding the URL, choosing the route and adding the camera.
- 01Camera on site
- 02Direct, Connector or RTMP
- 03Camzify cloud
- 04Rounds, alerts, recording
What commissioning looks like
Add cameras by route
RTSP URL, Connector discovery, or a generated RTMP ingest address with server URL and stream key. Stream quality is detected on connect.
Set recording per camera
Continuous or scheduled, retained by days or by a storage cap. Apply a preset to every camera on the site in one action.
Build the patrol round
Order the camera stops, write the checklist for each, assign the guard to notify, and set the schedule. The customer can adjust it later.
Hand over cleanly
Create the customer as a sub-user scoped to their sites, pick a permission group, and keep a maintenance login if they want you to.
- Frequency
- Every 2 hours
- Active hours
- 19:00 – 07:00
Nothing you installed is displaced
- The NVR or on-premise VMS keeps recording as before. Camzify records to the cloud on its own schedule, so the customer gains a copy that survives a stolen or destroyed recorder. The cloud versus on-premise comparison sets out the trade-offs honestly.
- Cameras stay. Any ONVIF-conformant IP camera with an RTSP stream works, and the supported cameras page lists sixteen brands with protocol notes. We sell no hardware and hold no preference for any manufacturer.
- Your relationship stays. The customer sees the service under your hand-over, and the report per round gives them something to show their own management that a camera installation alone never did.
What we will not tell you
That there is a certified installer program, a partner portal or a published margin. There is not, and we would rather say so than invent one. Commercial terms for integrators are agreed in conversation. What we can say is what the product does, in detail, on the platform pages and in the guides, and our position on claims is on the trust page. If you also operate monitoring for your customers, the managed service providers page covers holding accounts on their behalf, and the selling guide covers the conversation with a customer who has never heard the term.
