Camera tampering
Camera tampering is any interference that stops a camera from seeing what it should: the lens covered or sprayed, the camera turned away, the focus knocked out, the scene changed, or the feed frozen. Tampering detection raises it as it happens, so a blinded camera is not discovered days later when its footage is needed.
The failure it prevents is silent. A camera that has been covered still reports as online and still records, and nobody notices until an incident sends someone to the footage.
Detection compares what the camera sees now with what it should see: a sudden loss of focus, a covered lens, a scene that no longer matches, an abnormal brightness shift, or frames that stop changing. Each is raised with the frame and the time.
